Are you a photographer living dangerously? Do you rely on hit-or-miss when you’re shooting on location with on-camera flash? Do you have to spend time at your computer tweaking all those images you’ve just caught- and thought you nailed- only to have a variety of over- and underexposed images? End those risky behaviors and come to the safe side with Neil van Niekerk.
On Sunday afternoon, Neil brings his expertise to PPAM offering practical how-to advice in achieving the best results when using on-camera flash in a variety of lighting situations, both indoors and out. This presentation will help you refine your flash technique so you can achieve more consistent and predictable results.
Neil will help you to leave all the guesswork behind by teaching you the science behind all those settings on your camera and flash so you can make educated choices when using them. Among the topics he’ll be speaking on will be white balance settings, TTL/Auto flash vs. manual flash, exposure metering for ambient light, and the implications of flash sync speed and dragging the shutter. He’ll cover ways to control and modify light using directional bounce flash and modifiers.
In short, his program will cover just about all there is to using on-camera flash both outdoors and inside. This is must-have knowledge for every photographer’s war chest. Not to be missed!
