Creating your own 4 light headshot in studio

Tuesday, March 12, 2024 | By: Christine Chambers for Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts (PPAM)

I had my daughter help press the button after setting this up.  I needed a new headshot.  Since I was in studio the night before and had all the equipment mostly set up, I took advantage of it.  Normally I wouldn't position a client on the posing blocks but they were there from the night before and I was lazy and didn't feel like moving them.

You can see all lights in the BTS but the backdrop light is hidden behind the camera.  You have to look close.
